My passion lies in empowering clients to create lives full of meaning and joy. Our sessions will be focused on helping you recognize your own strengths and develop the coping skills needed for healthier relationships with yourself and others. I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, anger, and relationship issues. My goal is for clients to become their own best friends and develop the inner tools to open the doors for a life that excites them.
A bit about me: In 2015, I graduated with a Master's Degree in Counseling from Western Illinois University, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. In sessions I use Existential Therapy techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I love working with clients from a wide range of cultural and spiritual backgrounds and appreciate the unique and diverse lives each of my clients lead. For those interested, I can also incorporate nature and expressive arts into our therapy sessions. I have years of experience working with those who identify as LGBTQ and I go by she/her pronouns.
I have been a counselor for 10 years and have experience as an individual therapist for adults, teenagers, families, couples and children. Currently I am seeing individuals age 15 and up.
